Privacy Policy

1. General
1.1. We are committed to protecting your personal information. We spare no effort in keeping it confidential as we use it to deliver the best service experience for our clients. In order to protect your private information, we established clauses in this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) according to the best practices in the industry, applicable laws and regulations. This Policy explains how we handle and protect your personal information as you use services available in our websites (the “Website”). It also helps you understand what Personal Information we are collecting before you release them to us.

1.2. By accepting this Policy and the Terms and Conditions of this website, you explicitly consent us to collect, store and your personal information as set up in this Policy. This Policy is effective since 1 May 2023 for existing clients and immediately upon acceptance by new clients.

1.3. “Personal Data” as defined under the Personal Data Protection Act refers to data, whether genuine or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data and other information to which an organization has or is likely to have access.

1.4. We may amend/update this Policy at any time by posting the amended/updated terms on this Website respectively. All amended terms automatically take effect 7 days from the date of amendment/update. If your questions are not answered online, you may write to us at: Java Jive. 1.5. All defined terms in this Privacy Policy shall have the same meaning as is given to those terms in the Terms and Conditions of the Website.

 2. What personal data we collect and why we collect it
While you visit our website without providing us with any of your personal data, you are anonymous to us. Once you provide us with your personal information, you are no longer anonymous. If you decide to provide us with your personal information, that means you consent to the transmission to and storage of that information on our servers.

3. Comments
3.1. When you leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
3.2. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

4. Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

5. Contact forms

5.1. We may collect and store the following personal information:
5.1.1. email address, physical contact information, the date of birth and gender information, and (depending on the service used) sometimes financial information, such as credit card or bank account numbers;

5.1.2. information about transactions, from your activities on the Website (such as buying, product enquiries, reviews and content you generate or that relates to your account);

5.1.3. postage, billing and other information you provide to purchase or dispatch an item;

5.1.4. community discussions, chats, dispute resolution, correspondence through our Website, and correspondence sent to us;

5.1.5. other information from your interaction with our Website, services, content and advertising, including computer and connection information, statistics on page views, traffic to and from the Website, ad data, IP address and standard web log information;

5.1.6. additional information we ask you to submit to authenticate yourself (for instance, we may ask you to send us an ID or bill to verify your address, or to answer additional questions online to help verify your identity);

5.1.7. information from other companies, such as demographic and navigation data; and

5.1.8. other supplemental information from third parties (for example, if you incur a debt to the Company, we will generally conduct a credit check by obtaining additional information about you from a credit bureau, as permitted by law).

6. Marketing
We understand it is essential for you to provide us with your personal information to facilitate transactions within our website. As we are purely an innovation company, we don’t sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We however may combine your information with information we collect from other companies and use it to improve and personalize our services, contents and advertising. If you don’t wish to receive marketing communications from us or participate in our ad-customization programs, you may simply indicate your preferences by following the directions provided with the communication or advertisement.

7. Use
7.1. Our primary purpose in collecting your personal information is to facilitate completion of transaction, communicate with you and to provide a great online shopping experience. You agree that we may use your personal information to:

7.1.1. Provide the services and customer support you request;

7.1.2. Resolve disputes, collect fees, and troubleshoot problems;

7.1.3. Prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities, and enforce our User Agreement;

7.1.4. Customize, measure and improve our services, content and advertising;

7.1.5. Tell you about our services and those of our corporate family;

7.1.6. Send you targeted marketing, service updates, and promotional offers; and

7.1.7. Compare information for accuracy, and verify it with third parties.

8. Cookies

8.1. If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

8.2. If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

8.3. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

8.4. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

 

9. Embedded content from other websites
9.1. Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

9.2. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

 

10. Analytics
10.1. To provide better online experiences for our customers, we incorporate analytics that collect the following information:

10.1.1. Device Information: including your IP address, browser types, browser language, operating system, platform type, gaming platform, device types, and device IDs such as unique identifiers, advertising identifiers, or gaming platform identifiers.

10.1.2. Usage Information: including files you download, domain names, landing pages, your browsing activity, what you click, scrolling and keystroke activity, pages viewed, advertising viewed or visited, forms or fields you complete or partially complete, search terms, whether you open an email and your interaction with the content, access times, and error logs, and other similar information.

10.1.3. Location Information: including the city, state and ZIP code associated with your IP address, information derived through WiFi triangulation.

10.1.4. Viewing Behavior: including the content you view, the quality of the service you receive (e.g. load times) as well as advertisements you have been shown or interacted with.

10.1.5. Offline Information. Certain information may also be stored while you are offline and transmitted to us when you next connect to the Internet, regardless of where you connect from or the device you use to connect.

11. Disclosure of Your Information
We may disclose personal information if it is legally required. Such information will be disclosed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

12. Who we share your data with
12.1. We may share your personal information with:

12.1.1. Third-party service providers who is contracted to help with our business operations: We engage other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, providing search results and links (including paid listings and links), processing credit card payments, investigating frauds and providing customer service. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.

12.1.2. Third parties giving promotional offers: Sometimes we send offers to selected groups our users on behalf of other businesses. When we do this, we do not give that business your name and address. If you do not want to receive such offers, please adjust communication preferences in My Account Page.

12.1.3. Other third parties to whom you explicitly ask us to send your information (or about whom you are otherwise explicitly notified and consent to when using a specific service).

12.1.4. Law enforcement or other governmental officials, in response to a verified request relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity. In such events, we will disclose information relevant to the investigation, such as name, city, postal code, telephone number, email address, User ID history, IP address, fraud complaints, and purchasing and listing history;

12.1.5. Brand Protection Program participants under confidentiality agreement, as we in our sole discretion believe necessary or appropriate in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, piracy, or other unlawful activity. In such events, we will disclose name, street address, city, postal code, country, phone number, email address and company name; and

12.1.6. Other business entities, should we plan a merger and acquisition by that business entity. (Should such a combination occur, we will require that the new combined entity follow this privacy policy with respect to your personal information. If your personal information will be used contrary to this policy, we shall notify you.)

12.2. If Java Jive has reasonable grounds to believe that any User is in breach of any of the terms of this Policy, Java Jive reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to cooperate fully with governmental authorities, private investigators, all the rightful owner(s) or interest holder(s) and/or injured third parties in the investigation of any potential or ongoing criminal or civil wrongdoing. Further, Java Jive may disclose the User’s identify and contact information, or such other transaction-related data, if requested by a government or law enforcement body, private investigator, rightful owner or interest holder and/or any injured third party or as a result of a subpoena or other legal action, or if Java Jive is of the view, in its sole and absolute discretion, that it would be in its best interest to do so. Java Jive shall not be liable for damages or results arising from such disclosure, and the User(s) agrees not to bring action or claim against Java Jive for such disclosure.

13. How long we retain your data
13.1. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

13.2. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

14. What rights you have over your data
14.1. If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

15. Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

16. How we protect your data
16.1. Protecting our clients personal information has always been our priority. We have adopted to our very best knowledge various security measures in our technical system, our work processes, educate and update our team players the responsibilities they play in protecting your personal data and dire consequences of security breaches.

16.2. In order to minimize the risk of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure and alteration of your personal data. Some of the safeguards we use are as follows:
16.2.1. using advanced Malware Protections to protect our IT devices
16.2.2. adopt data encryption in transmission and storing of your personal data
16.2.3. working with reliable service providers that has good IT Security practice.
16.2.4. adopting IT Security Policy such as using strong passwords and disallow unauthorized installation of pirated software.
16.2.5. educating our team members to be vigilant about information access, susceptibility of Malware and Phishing Attack and not to discuss work related topics outside our operating office and not to divulge clients’ personal information.

16.3. Despite of our best efforts, as you probably know, third parties may still illegally intercept or access transmissions or private communications, and other users may abuse or misuse your personal information that they collect from the site. Therefore, although we work very hard to protect your privacy, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personal information or private communications will always remain private

17. Personal Data Officer
17.1. The Personal Data Officer is responsible for taking reasonable endeavors to protect user information and preventing unauthorized disclosure. The Personal Information Manager is not responsible for damage or loss of information due to unexpected incident due to hacking or other risks inherent to the network that may occur despite technical safeguards. The Personal Information Manager is not responsible for any dispute arising from the users’ posts.

18. No Spam, Spyware or Spoofing
We and our users do not tolerate spam. You are not licensed to add other users of this Website, to your mailing list (email or physical mail) without their express consent. To report Java Jive Solutions-related spam or spoof emails to Java Jive Solutions, please fill in our contact form in About Us page. You may not use our communication tools to send spam or otherwise send content that would violate our User Agreement. We automatically detect and may manually filter messages to check for spam, viruses, phishing attacks and other malicious activity or illegal or prohibited content, but we do not permanently store messages sent through these tools. Neither do we rent or sell these email addresses.
